2023 Outreach Program
Theme: When I Was Hungry
This year’s outreach, themed “When I Was Hungry,” was inspired by the words of Jesus in Matthew 25:35–45, where He reminds us that true service to God is revealed in how we care for others: “For I was hungry and you gave Me food, I was thirsty and you gave Me drink, I was a stranger and you took Me in.” These words serve as both a calling and a command to respond with love, to give selflessly, and to see Christ in those who are in need.

Introduction
This year’s outreach, themed “When I Was Hungry,” was inspired by Matthew 25:35–45, where Jesus reminds us that genuine love is demonstrated through compassion and service to others. The passage calls believers to see and respond to the needs of those around them with empathy and action. In that same spirit, People of Passion & Purpose stepped out in faith in December 2023 to bring nourishment, comfort, and hope to widows, orphans, and the less privileged across communities. Each act of giving, every shared meal, and every prayer offered reflected faith put into action and the heart of Christ’s love made visible.
ā
Our team visited 13 locations, including Apomu, Ikire, Magodo, Ile-Ife, Ojota, Awoyaya, Ibadan, and Araromi, alongside several orphanages and health facilities. Each initiative reflected our unwavering belief that love in action transforms communities and that every act of giving, no matter how small, creates lasting impact.
